Our RSE policy consultation has now finished and the governing body has now approved the policy. We would like to thank all the families that took part online. We have listened to your feedback and suggestions, which were very positive.
In answer to one suggestion, we will be dedicating a webpage (details to follow) to this area of the curriculum where you will find details on how the information is taught and to what level for their age groups. You will also will find examples of the worksheets and other teaching resources used in the sessions. This means that parents will know how and at what level to talk to the children at home when this subject is raised.
We will also be reinforcing the work carried out by the NSPCC in all year groups around “Talk PANTS”. This helps children understand that their body belongs to them, and they should tell someone they trust if anything makes them feel upset or worried. More details can be found here:
