At Cupernham Infant School, we believe it is important for children to learn how to care for the world around them from a young age. By helping children understand how to look after the environment, we are encouraging positive habits that can last a lifetime.
Through learning about recycling, saving energy and caring for nature, children begin to make sensible choices and often share these ideas at home with their families. We want our pupils to feel confident and proud about doing their bit to help the planet.
We are proud to support the 'Let’s Go Zero' campaign, which encourages schools to work towards becoming zero carbon. As part of this, we have an Eco Gang made up of enthusiastic pupils who help promote eco-friendly actions across the school. The Eco Gang share ideas, encourage others to make small changes, and help everyone think about how we can all look after our environment.
Through this work, our children are learning that even small actions can make a big difference at school, at home and in the local community. Please enjoy looking through our portfolios to find out more about what the children have been learning.

By joining the Let’s Go Zero campaign and committing to becoming a school, we’re taking a positive step on a local level to help combat the climate issues we all face globally. It sends a strong message to our whole school and community that together we can safeguard our planet for future generations.
