RE (Religious Education)

Our children enjoy thinking about what is important to them and the beliefs of others and the impact this has on what they say and how they behave.  This enables them to question what is right and wrong in the world around them.  Through learning about Islam and Christianity it offers opportunity for the children to reflect and deepen their understanding of the significance of religion in the lives of others – individually, communally and cross-culturally.

Through the teaching of world religions we allow our children to develop respect for others including people with different faiths and beliefs, and helps challenge prejudice.

It also allows the children to consider their responsibilities to themselves and others and to explore how they might be involved with their community and wider society.
